One of the first projects was the residence of author Joel Chandler Harris. Built in Atlanta, Ga. in the mid-19th century, this wonderful Victorian cottage has the original heart pine floors that were buried under layers of aged varnish and maintenance products and were in dire need of attention. The 150 year old heart of pine floors had never been sanded, a very rare find in inner city housing. The natural color from 150 years of aging with nothing but a clear coating over the restored wood can be seen at this Atlanta landmark.
